Equipment
Naturally, you get to choose the hardware and software you need to do your job. At Twofour, we use everything from macOS to Linux, and from Vim to Photoshop… not that those two have anything in common—but you get the idea.
We don’t believe the future is dogmatic, and neither are we. If you prefer Word over Google Docs, then Word it is.
The digital landscape
In the beginning, it was all about the web—that’s when we were a web agency. Today, we build services that span multiple interfaces and underlying systems. Now, we’re a digital agency primarily focused on custom system development.
Some of the revolutions we’ve helped normalize include responsive design, open-source CMS, headless web architecture, and agile methodologies.
What we’re pushing forward now includes serverless infrastructure, microservices, API-first approaches, and a range of emerging frameworks and tech stacks.

Roles, roles, roles
Developers
Most of us at Twofour are developers—from the deepest backend to the sharpest front end, with plenty of full-stack talent for those who enjoy both worlds.
Much of what we build is based on open-source solutions, with a strong focus on Node.js, WordPress, and React. We also have a stellar .NET team, because we always aim to craft the solution that best fits each client. That means we value flexibility. We don’t sell off-the-shelf products—we build tailored systems for our clients.
Interface Developers & Digital Creatives
Some of us specialize in strategy, UI/UX, graphic design, editorial work, and SEO—the softer skills that perfectly complement the code. These are all key building blocks that help bring a project to life.
We focus not only on launch, but also on long-term development. Turning a vague idea into a fully functioning system that meets (or exceeds!) expectations is what we love most.
Developers of Developers
We also have project managers and production leads—similar roles, but with different focus. Project managers handle budgets and client relations, while both roles bring deep experience in leading digital projects and a strong understanding of the tech behind them.
Their mission is to make sure the client stays involved throughout the project—through highs and lows—and to support our developers so they can deliver and grow as expected.

Do I need a specific education? 🧑🎓
Nope. While there are plenty of great schools for those who want to work in tech, we know that it’s just as possible to learn on your own. What matters is that you can show us you’ve got the right skills—whether that comes from freelance gigs or running your own projects.
