How our clients benefit from API First
In 2015 we decided to make API creation the foundation of all client projects. The result has been systems that give our clients greater flexibility and adaptability.

We call this method API-first. It means treating each project as part of a larger ecosystem of connected solutions, not as a siloed one-off. This mindset makes it natural to integrate new ideas or swap out outdated parts without having to rebuild everything from scratch.
Here are three recent examples
14X the engagement
In spring 2024 the advertising agency Silver+ asked us to develop ideas for their upcoming “Design your own version of our product” campaign. The client was RisiFrutti, a popular snack of creamy rice porridge with jam.
Participants could mix and match from a list of ingredients to create their own flavour and give it a name. Since AI-generated images were still novel in 2024, we decided to let each entry produce a unique product mock-up based on the chosen ingredients and name.
The campaign exceeded all expectations. Orkla had forecast 5,000 submissions per week but instead received around 10,000 per day. Interest spread so widely through word of mouth and dark social channels that they even reduced media spend just to keep pace with the flood of entries.
A non trivial amount of free hours per week
We supported Scandinavian Cosmetics in digitally transforming the loyalty program for Sensai. Previously, staff had to manually transfer paper reward forms into the warehouse system.
We built a new online platform that manages the full process—from signing up members to ordering rewards and shipping them from the warehouse. The system reduces time spent in stores when logging purchases, streamlines warehouse operations, and generates business insights that can be integrated into any CRM or BI tool.
Real time sound dampening simulation
Zilenzio asked us to rebuild their website from the ground up. A key feature was the integration of a real-time sound simulation API into a tool that let visitors recreate their own sound environment and immediately hear the effect of Zilenzio’s products.
This gave potential customers a direct experience of the benefits—something that would otherwise only become clear after installation.
The Power of API-First
In each of these projects, our deep experience in integrating multiple systems into a unified whole proved invaluable. Launching one of Sweden’s first campaigns with on-demand image generation was as straightforward as adding a submission form. The Sensai loyalty program connects several systems but is managed entirely through a single interface.
This is the strength of API-first. It gives clients the ability to respond to new challenges without rebuilding their existing systems. Instead of asking, “Would it be possible to…?” the conversation becomes, “What else would we like to add?”
