24HR becomes twofour

After many long years of asking ourselves, “Shouldn’t we change our name?” we have finally done it. There are many reasons, but the clearest one is that people constantly thought we worked with human resources – something we never actually did.
When 24HR was founded in 1996, HR wasn’t yet a well-established term, at least not in Sweden. However, the fact that information was suddenly available 24 hours a day thanks to the web was a small revolution. People talked about the “24-hour agency,” and it felt exciting to be able to read the latest news in real time. TwoFour was meant to evoke the web’s constant presence, 24 hours a day.
Today, that’s something we all take for granted.
So, we decided to remove “HR” from our name, but keep the numbers 2 and 4 – written out as text and in English. We want to signal change while still holding on to a part of our proud history. There aren’t many independent agencies left from the early days of the Swedish internet, but we’re proud to be one of them.
We will continue delivering what becomes the standard in three or four years, just as we always have. We’re keeping our core values – possible, caring, curious, and knowledgeable – because we are still the same company, only even better. Think of it like when Charmander levels up and becomes Charizard.
